Our current position
YowSpare currently uses technologies required for authentication, preferences, organization context, security, performance, and selected offline workflows. It does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral advertising in the application.
- Necessary storage supports secure sessions and core product operation.
- Language, theme, organization, and agency choices may be remembered.
- PWA and offline features can retain application files and selected records on the device.
- Advertising or non-essential tracking will require updated notice and controls before activation where required.
1. Scope and relationship with other policies
This Notice applies to YowSpare websites, web applications, progressive web applications, mobile applications, and related services that link to it. It supplements the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. The Privacy Policy controls the broader processing of personal data, while this Notice focuses on technologies stored on or associated with a browser, device, application, or network request.
The YowSpare contracting entity identified in the applicable Order Form, subscription confirmation, or invoice is responsible for the technologies it deploys for its own purposes. Customer organizations remain responsible for technologies they independently add to their websites, devices, integrations, or environments.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text records that a website can place on a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, service workers, PWA caches, software development kit identifiers, device permissions, pixels, tags, application events, and server-side technical logs.
YowSpare may use these technologies to keep a user signed in, remember preferences, preserve organization context, protect accounts, improve loading performance, support selected offline operations, diagnose incidents, and maintain evidence needed for security and audit.
3. Technology categories
The technologies present in a particular session depend on the device, browser, selected features, organization configuration, and deployment environment.
| Category | Purpose | Typical examples | Current status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Operate accounts, protect requests, maintain authorized sessions, and deliver core functionality. | Authentication state, security tokens, tenant or organization context, request identifiers. | Used where required |
| Preferences | Remember choices made by the user and reduce repetitive configuration. | Language, light or dark theme, active organization, agency, and interface preferences. | Used according to choices |
| Offline and performance | Improve responsiveness and support selected workflows during limited connectivity. | Service worker caches, PWA assets, IndexedDB, local drafts, synchronization metadata. | Used for supported features |
| Analytics and diagnostics | Understand reliability, investigate errors, protect the service, and improve performance. | Technical logs, error context, timestamps, browser and device signals, API request records. | Limited to operational needs |
| Advertising and measurement | Display or measure advertisements, sponsored content, campaigns, attribution, or conversions. | Advertising identifiers, pixels, campaign IDs, impressions, clicks, and frequency controls. | Not currently used |
4. Strictly necessary technologies
Technologies that are essential to provide, secure, or stabilize the Service may operate without optional consent where applicable law permits. Disabling them can prevent authentication, tenant isolation, organization selection, protected requests, synchronization, or other core functions.
Necessary technologies are not used to build advertising profiles. Their data is limited to what is reasonably required for the relevant operational or security purpose.
5. Local storage, PWA caches, and offline operation
The web application can store session and business-context information in the browser, including authentication state, tenant, organization and agency identifiers, language, theme, and selected workflow data. The PWA can cache application resources, while supported offline functions may use IndexedDB or comparable device storage for drafts, pending actions, synchronization metadata, and locally available records.
Local records can remain on a device until YowSpare replaces them, the browser evicts them, the user clears site data, or the application is removed. Logging out does not necessarily erase every browser cache or offline draft. Users should avoid shared devices for sensitive work and clear site data before transferring or disposing of a device.
6. Advertising, sponsored content, and campaign measurement
YowSpare does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or sensitive inventory data for external behavioral advertising. Product announcements, plan information, or service communications shown inside YowSpare are not necessarily personalized advertising and may be required to administer the customer relationship.
If YowSpare later introduces advertising, sponsored content, conversion measurement, cross-site tracking, or non-essential campaign technologies, it will update this Notice and provide the consent or preference controls required by applicable law before activation. Refusing personalized advertising would not necessarily prevent contextual messages or essential service communications.
- Customer stock, employee, supplier, approval, and financial records will not be used for external behavioral advertising without an explicit lawful basis and appropriate protection.
- Campaign reports should use aggregated or statistical information unless identifiable information is authorized by law, contract, and any required consent.
- Advertisers and partners are responsible for the accuracy, legality, pricing, claims, images, and rights associated with content they provide.
7. Providers, integrations, and customer-added technologies
YowSpare may rely on infrastructure, identity, file storage, payment, support, notification, mapping, security, or error-diagnostic providers. Those providers may process technical information under their own contracts and applicable privacy terms. Material providers are addressed through the Privacy Policy, contractual documentation, or information available on request.
A Customer may connect APIs, webhooks, analytics, scripts, plugins, scanners, external applications, or other services. Unless YowSpare expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the Customer is responsible for reviewing those technologies, providing required notices, obtaining consent, protecting credentials, and controlling resulting transfers.
8. Data stored outside the YowSpare service
Browser caches, offline records, downloads, CSV or PDF exports, printouts, screenshots, email attachments, mobile backups, shared drives, external servers, and connected applications can create copies outside YowSpare-controlled infrastructure.
The Customer controls and is responsible for the security, retention, sharing, and deletion of copies created in its devices, browsers, networks, or third-party tools. Organization administrators should define rules for authorized devices, exports, browser profiles, cache clearing, backups, and employee access.
9. Your choices and controls
Available controls vary by browser, operating system, device, deployment, and law. Changing a setting applies prospectively and does not automatically delete records already retained for a lawful security, contractual, or compliance purpose.
- Use browser settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and site data.
- Clear local storage, IndexedDB, cached files, and service worker data through the browser's site controls.
- Manage application permissions, background data, and advertising identifiers through mobile-device settings.
- Use YowSpare preference controls when non-essential technology choices are offered.
- Contact the privacy team for questions or rights described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Effects of blocking or deletion
Blocking non-essential technologies should not prevent access to core stock functions where technically possible. Blocking or deleting necessary session, security, organization-context, local-storage, or cache data can sign the user out, reset preferences, remove offline records, interrupt synchronization, or prevent parts of the Service from working.
Before clearing offline data, users should confirm that pending actions have synchronized. YowSpare cannot restore local-only records that were never transmitted to the deployed service.
11. Retention
Session technologies may expire when the browser closes, when the user signs out, or after a security timeout. Preferences and local application data may persist until replaced, expired, evicted, or cleared. Cache duration depends on application updates, browser storage policy, and available device capacity.
Server-side security, API, audit, and diagnostic logs may be retained for the operational, evidential, contractual, and legal periods described in the Privacy Policy or applicable customer agreement.
12. Do Not Track and similar signals
Some browsers send Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, or comparable signals. Their legal effect and technical interpretation vary by jurisdiction. YowSpare will honor signals where required and technically applicable, while prioritizing explicit consent controls, documented preferences, and applicable legal obligations.
13. Security
YowSpare uses reasonable safeguards for session tokens, browser requests, service infrastructure, and similar technologies under its control. Security remains shared: users and Customers must protect devices, browser profiles, passwords, MFA methods, exports, extensions, integrations, and local networks.
Do not send passwords, API keys, access tokens, or sensitive stock records when first contacting support. Suspected compromise should be reported promptly through the official contact channel.
14. Changes and contact
YowSpare may update this Notice when product capabilities, storage methods, providers, advertising practices, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the Service, email, or another appropriate channel when required.
Questions about cookies, advertising, local storage, or privacy choices can be sent to tdjotio@gmail.com. Applicable privacy and electronic-communications laws, including the GDPR where relevant, may affect the rights and controls available to a particular person.
